Weekly Deep Dive: The United Liberation Front for Palestine
The California-based ULFP has praised shooters with blood on their hands, organized marches in support of Palestinian terrorists, and called for the destruction of the U.S. and Israel
In the sprawling landscape of American activism, few organizations have expressed radicalism at the level of the United Liberation Front for Palestine (ULFP). Established in December 2023 in Bakersfield, California, this self-described "Palestinian-led, anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, and anti-Zionist grassroots movement" has rapidly distinguished itself through increasingly inflammatory rhetoric, support for violence, and explicit calls for the destruction of both Israel and the United States itself.
Origins and Foundational Ideology
The United Liberation Front for Palestine emerged from California's Central Valley with a mission that extends far beyond traditional Palestinian advocacy.
The ULFP formally made headlines under its previous name United Liberation Front. in April 2024 when Riddhi Patel, a speaker at the Bakersfield City Council meeting, was charged with 18 felony counts after making a direct death threat to City Council Members while advocating for the ULFP's ceasefire proposal to be adopted. While the ULFP made a statement distancing itself from Patel, her stated direct affiliation with the group prior to the death threat raises concern about the group's influence and members.

According to their official website, ULFP operates "from the heart of American imperialism" and views Palestinian liberation as intrinsically tied to global revolution. The organization explicitly states that "Palestinian liberation requires the complete dismantling of the Zionist entity that calls itself 'israel' and no compromises or any promises short of its demise will suffice."
The group's foundational documents reveal a worldview that positions Palestine as the catalyst for worldwide transformation. As stated on their about page, "we attest and believe that global liberation is intricately tied to the liberation of Palestine, and without Palestine's liberation—no one is truly free." This apocalyptic vision serves as the ideological framework for their increasingly extreme positions and calls to action.

Glorification of Violence and "Martyrdom"
Perhaps most disturbing among ULFP's activities is their consistent glorification of violence through their "Glory to Our Martyrs March" events and statements. The organization regularly celebrates what they term "martyrs," a designation that includes Hamas fighters and others who have committed acts of violence. Their Instagram account features numerous posts with the phrase "Glory to our martyrs," and they have organized public marches under this banner, including a notable event in Bakersfield in October 2024.
Following the deadly shooting at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington D.C. in May 2025, in which two Israeli embassy employees were murdered, ULFP posted an Instagram reel reading "MAY ALL ZIONISTS BURN" and reshared content supporting the shooter.

ULFP has celebrated the "resistance" and organized events honoring Palestinian terrorists. This includes hosting a section on their website called “Our Martyrs,” celebrating individual such as:
Naji Abu Seif (Abu Hamza) from Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades
Ismail Haniyeh from Hamas
Mohammed Jaber (Abu Shuja’a) from Tulkarm Brigades (Al-Qud’s)
Hassan Nasrallah from Hezbollah
Yahya Sinwar from Hamas
In the eulogy posted for Abu Shujaa, the ULFP Writes:
“The United Liberation Front for Palestine will forever stand with Palestinian resistance, and with any who would give their lives in the struggle against Zionism, imperialism, colonialism, fascism, and capitalism. The world is changing, and the days of US empire & their pet project in the settler-colony of “israel” are numbered.”
The group also shared on its Telegram and Instagram (since removed), a translated video of Hassan Nasrallah speaking about his views on the United States claiming that The United States decides everything for Israel, and they are the true ones to blame. Nasrallah was the decades long leader of Hezbollah, the terrorist group responsible for the 1983 Beirut Barracks bombing, which killed 241 US Servicemen.

Anti-American Extremism and Revolutionary Rhetoric
ULFP's hostility extends beyond Israel to encompass the United States itself, which they consistently refer to using derogatory terms designed to delegitimize American governance and society. In their June 2025 statement titled "Death to the Empire," the organization launched a vitriolic attack on America, referring to it as the "Amerikkkan Empire" and declaring: "Let it be known: the US Empire was never a neutral player, it is in itself the womb of terror." The statement continued with explicit threats and revolutionary language:
"The Terrorist States of America and the Zionist entity—two regimes joined at the hip by their hatred of freedom and their addiction to domination—have overstayed their time in history. They will not last. They cannot last." The document concluded with the ominous warning: "To the American empire: strike while you can. Burn what you can. Bomb what you can. But know this—your hands will not remain unburnt. Your time is running out."

ULFP consistently portrays the United States as the primary enabler of Israeli actions, but their analysis goes far beyond typical anti-war sentiment. In their worldview, America is not merely misguided in its foreign policy but is fundamentally an "imperial" power that must be destroyed. Their March 2025 statement regarding detained activist Mahmoud Khalil demonstrates this perspective, where they describe ICE enforcement as "Gestapo-style kidnapping" and declare: "It's precisely why [we] do not hesitate to burn this country's flag."
The organization views the U.S.-Israel relationship not as one of alliance but of parasitic control, arguing that "the relationship between the US and israel is often misrepresented—as if israel somehow dictates America's actions." Instead, they position America as the dominant imperial power using Israel as its regional proxy. This framework allows them to direct their primary hostility toward the United States while simultaneously calling for Israel's complete elimination.
“There is only one path to liberation: Revolution. Intifada. Total resistance.”
