Webinar Hosted by Alleged PFLP Proxy Reportedly Canceled by Zoom
Masar Badil, which has hosted webinars with officials from U.S.-designated terror groups such as Hamas, PIJ, and the Houthis, claims its Zoom webinar was canceled because of "Zionist demands"
Zoom reportedly canceled a webinar organized by Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, scheduled for March 14th and titled "The Flood of Return." According to Masar Badil, the event was removed in response to "Zionist demands." Honestly Concerned, a German non-profit committed to combating antisemitism and ensuring truthful reporting on Jewish issues, published a report detailing Masar Badil’s role as a proxy for the U.S.-designated terror group Samidoun, and a front for another U.S.-designated terror organization, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Masar Badil has previously hosted events featuring senior Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) officials. These events have included expressions of support for Hamas, PIJ, and the Iran-backed Houthis, organizations that have actively called for attacks on Israel.
Past Masar Badil Webinars Featuring Terrorists
This is not the first time Masar Badil has been associated with online events involving officials from designated terrorist organizations. In November 2023, Masar Badil and Samidoun co-organized a Zoom event featuring Husam Badran, a senior Hamas official and former leader of Hamas' military wing in the northern West Bank. The event aimed to garner support for "Palestinian resistance"—a phrase often used as a euphemism for Hamas' militant activities—amid the Israel-Hamas war following the October 7th massacre. While Zoom canceled the event for violating its terms of service, it was still uploaded to Masar Badil’s YouTube channel before being removed. During the webinar, members of Masar Badil and Samidoun repeatedly referred to Badran as a "comrade" and "brother," a term he reciprocated.

Throughout 2024, Masar Badil continued to host a livestream series titled "Palestine Media Events – English" on the alternative video platform Odysee. The series included interviews with various Hamas and PIJ officials, including Husam Badran, PIJ member Ali Abu Shaheen, Houthi scholar Dr. Ahmad Al-Shami, and Basem Naim, a U.S.-designated Hamas leader. Other featured speakers included Osama Hamdan, a former Hamas representative in Lebanon and Tehran, as well as senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad, who previously served as Hamas’ deputy foreign minister.
Statements made during these events reportedly included support for Hamas, PIJ, and the Houthis, with calls to continue targeting Israel. For instance, Houthi leader Nasruddin Amer described the October 7th attack as "a great victory for the Ummah," while Hamas official Ghazi Hamad stated, "Protests in [the] West are ‘much appreciated,’ ‘Very Effective’ […] We will never recognize Israel."

Increasing Scrutiny on Masar Badil & Samidoun
At a conference in Brussels on March 5, 2025, Member of European Parliament (MEP) Bert-Jan Ruissen and other EU lawmakers emphasized that Europe can no longer ignore the threat posed by groups such as Masar Badil and Samidoun. Their statements reflect a growing acknowledgment among European policymakers of the risks associated with extremist networks operating within digital spaces. Although Masar Badil claims that their webinar was canceled merely due to "Zionist demands," their track record of hosting officials from designated terror organizations suggests that the decision may have been made due to violations of platform policies or concerns over the content’s nature.
What a fucking shame. They will soon be whining about their free speech rights.
