Vassar College Shuts Down SJP Event Glorifying PFLP Terrorist Organization
Administration allegedly cites material support for terrorism concerns as reason for the move, after student group promotes "teach-in" on US-designated terror group
Vassar College administration shut down a Students for Justice in Palestine educational “teach-in” set to focus on the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a US-designated terrorist organization. The cancellation, which occurred on December 2nd, sparked immediate backlash from SJP, who released a statement on December 6th, 2025, accusing the college of “suppressing” anti-imperial education and cooperating with what they called the federal government’s “fascist agenda.”
According to promotional materials shared by the Israel War Room on December 1, 2025, the cancelled event was designed to help students learn from the PFLP’s “historic example.” The promotional imagery featured a book titled “They Will Certainly Be Victorious: On Palestine, Pan-Arabism, and the Palestinian Front” with messaging predicting: “They Will Certainly be Victorious: On Palestine, Pan-Arabism and the Palestinian Front.”
The PFLP is a Marxist-Leninist terrorist group notorious for hijacking passenger planes to “Free Palestine,” according to information shared by the Israel War Room. The organization has carried out numerous terror attacks throughout its history and participated in the October 7, 2023 massacre that killed over 1,200 Israelis and sparked the current Gaza war.
SJP Condemns Administration
In their press release, Vassar SJP rejected the administration’s rationale for cancelling the event, stating: “We rebuke the college’s complicity with the federal government’s fascist agenda and suppression of anti-imperial education!”
The group claimed that during an in-person meeting on December 3rd, two Vassar administrators expressed concern about international students, “alleging that our post triggered threats of ICE visiting campus via social media.” SJP said they offered to edit promotional materials and move the event to a designated sanctuary space, but “the college dismissed these suggestions.”
Prior Event Glorifying First Intifada
In a separate November incident, Vassar SJP promoted a “teach-in” scheduled for November 13th, led by a member of the Palestinian Youth Movement. That event focused on the organizing strategies from the First Intifada (1987-1993), a violent Palestinian uprising in which over 200 Israelis were murdered. The group described it as learning about “a vital movement in the history of Palestinian resistance.”
The Vassar incident follows similar controversies at Columbia University, Harvard, and other elite institutions where pro-Palestinian student groups have organized events that Jewish students and advocacy organizations argue cross the line from political speech into glorification of terrorism.
Pan-Arabism is nothing to be proud of in a supposedly ‘anti-imperialist’ movement. Pan Arabism, like Pan-Germanism, was hell bent on spreading their ethnic and linguistic SUPREMACY across vast regions filled with many cultures and ethnicities. Any group not speaking the SUPREME Arabic language could not be a nation, only a subjugated minority. For CENTURIES Arabic and Islam were shoved down the throats of groups from Iraq to Algeria - over 2000 miles(!) of conquest and violent suppression of indigenous cultures. The tough Berbers were not Arabic speakers before being forced by greater power and supremacist obsession. No wonder the Arab League allied with Nazi Germany. The Arab S.S. Unit in full Nazi uniform continued until 1949(!) when a JEWISH Israeli force defeated the LAST Nazi-affiliated unit. The pro-Hamas movement depends upon Qatar-funded propagandized youth not knowing anything!!! Supremacist, imperialist Pan-Arabism never was a liberating force, and post WWI technology just put centuries of Islamic/Arab domination on modern steroids. HOW can educated people actually believe that nations with public executions, hands cut off
for stealing bread, gays and independent women raped and killed, no democratic elections, Black Africans enslaved (still), and plans to destroy half the world’s Jews (while the other half is threatened in diaspora) are for LIBERATION?! Mamdani’s parents were expelled from Uganda for being “racist settler colonizers” placed there by British imperialism. They possessed great wealth and property with exploited Black labor. Daddy, big Columbia professor, and mom a famous filmmaker, cover up that history by projecting these sins of conquest and racial supremacy onto tiny Israel, a state with more ethnic diversity, democracy and creativity than any nation in the region (by far), and more than most nations in the world. These guys are hugely funded, well trained soldiers of the movement to end democracy, gay rights and women’s freedom in any part of the Islamic world. And so-called ‘progressives’ fall all over themselves as they discover the Jew haters inside themselves. The Jews who go along with this are another story for another time.
