Linda Sarsour to Speak at Conference Hosted by Designated Hamas Front Group
An organization designated by Israel as a Hamas front will host its upcoming forum in Istanbul, featuring Linda Sarsour and speakers with alleged ties to U.S.-designated terror groups
The Popular Conferences for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA), a group designated by Israel as a Hamas front, is set to host its third Palestinian National Dialogue Forum on November 14-15 in Istanbul. The event will feature American activist Linda Sarsour alongside several individuals with alleged ties to U.S.-designated terror groups and other extremist organizations.
Recently, the PCPA was implicated in documents uncovered by Israel’s Foreign Ministry in the Gaza Strip, which revealed Hamas’ direct involvement in the flotilla movement through the PCPA. This event marks yet another example of Hamas utilizing front groups to organize political gatherings that primarily serve the purpose of advancing their own narratives and agendas.
List of Alleged Terror-Tied Speakers
Among the controversial speakers is Wadah Khanfar, a former Director-General of Al Jazeera Media Network, who has a history of deep involvement with Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Khanfar publicly praised Hamas’ October 7th attack and has close ties to Yusuf al-Qardawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Khanfar allegedly held positions for Hamas in Sudan and South Africa. He previously sparked controversy for speaking at the “Reimagining Palestine” conference held by Georgetown University in Doha in 2024.

Another speaker at the conference, Munir Shafiq, was one of the leaders of the terrorist group “Jihad Brigades,” a precursor to the Iranian terror proxy, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). Shafiq met with former-Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on multiple occasions as well as with the top aid of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He is described as having advised the “Jihad Brigades” to align with Hamas and PIJ.

Azzam Al Tamimi, another prominent figure on the speaker list, has longstanding ties to Hamas and has been described as a “leader member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Britain.” He has shared speaking platforms with Bassem Naim, a senior Hamas leader, and has been photographed with prominent Brotherhood figures such as Mohammad Morsi and Yusuf al-Qardawi. Tamimi’s Facebook features images celebrating these connections. Tamimi pushes pro-Hamas propaganda such as claiming that Hamas only targeted military personnel on October 7th. Tamimi also supported a recent legal challenge against the UK’s 2021 decision to designate Hamas as a terrorist organization, serving as one of the listed experts.

Hisham Abu Mahfouz, the Acting Secretary-General of the PCPA, has been photographed alongside individuals closely linked to Hamas, including Ahmed Abd al-Hadi, a Hamas representative in Lebanon, and Ziad El-Aloul, an alleged Hamas operative in Europe. Abu Mahfouz has also attended meetings where images of armed terrorists were displayed.
