IDF Eliminates Senior Hamas Figure Serving as Al-Aqsa University VP
Reports that Israel eliminated Dr. Faiq Al-Naouq, Vice President of Al-Aqsa University, omit his role as a Hamas leader and vocal supporter of its terrorist activities

Recent online reports by Al Jazeera and other Arabic sources claim that Israel has eliminated Dr. Faiq Al-Naouq, the Vice President of Al-Aqsa University in Gaza City. Their coverage, however, omits a crucial detail uncovered by Jewish Onliner: Dr. Al-Naouq is not just an academic figure. He was also a Hamas leader in Jabalia, according to the Palestinian outlet Donia Al-Watan, and has consistently appeared as a vocal supporter of Hamas’ terrorist activities.

More Than an Academic
In October 2022, Al-Naouq was photographed attending a Hamas-organized event titled “The Leader of the Mujahideen and the Jewel of the Righteous.” The gathering included several other Hamas officials and centered around the importance of armed “resistance” against Israel—a euphemism for terrorism.

Arabic-language media frequently identify Al-Naouq as a Hamas leader in Jabalia. A 2015 article published by the Hamas-affiliated Alray Media Agency covering the death of Hamas leader Sheikh Muhammad Samara ("Abu al-Saeed") features Al-Naouq—described as a Hamas leader—praising Samara as part of the “first nucleus of the military apparatus of the Hamas movement.”
Al-Naouq’s affiliations extend into the university he helps run. In November 2014, he attended an art exhibition at Al-Aqsa University organized by the Islamic Bloc, a Hamas-affiliated student group. Photos from the event reveal a militant Hamas propaganda banner and individuals dressed in terrorist uniforms while wearing Hamas scarfs. One Facebook post about the event reads: “Sections of the exhibition highlight the victories of the resistance and the Al-Qassam Brigades.”

As more details emerge about Al-Naouq’s reported death, it’s essential for media coverage to accurately portray who he was: not simply a university vice president, but a longtime leader in Hamas and public advocate for its terrorist activities.
Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah.
When I look at that photo of the lineup of Muslim men, the only thing I see are guys cosplaying as serious men none of whom can quite figure out how to get laid.
