Harvard Kennedy School Set to Host Hamas-Linked and Pro-Terror Speakers
Harvard Kennedy School to Platform Extremist Speakers

On February 6th, Harvard Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy is set to host an event titled “In Their Words: Palestinian Perspectives on Fear & Hope in Gaza & the West Bank.” Among the speakers is Muhammad Shehada, the Chief of Prgogrammes and Communications at the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor (EuroMed), an alleged Hamas front organization.
Another speaker, Aseel Mousa, has openly supported Hamas’ October 7th attack in Israel, in which 1,200 people were murdered, and 250 more were taken hostage.

Shehada’s Support for Terror
Shehada, EuroMed’s Chief of Programmes, has a history of inflammatory statements that distort facts and attempt to sanitize Hamas’ actions. His social media activity includes downplaying the evil of Hamas holding Thai hostages, accusing Israel of “weaponizing” the kidnapping of Israeli children in order to pursue its war against Hamas, and even posting a photo of himself taking a “gently walk” with now deceased Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Ben Badejo, a former Harvard Law School student, slammed the university:
“You've got to be kidding me. @Harvard is hosting an extreme antisemite this week. Muhammad Shehada denies the atrocities of 10/7 and claims Hamas treats hostages well. It's truly vile. One of the worst on this platform. Look at his tweet history. Harvard's doing this on purpose.”
EuroMed Monitor — A Hamas Front Group
EuroMed’s leadership has documented ties to Hamas. Its founder and current chairman, Ramy Abdu, as well as its prior chairman, Mazen Kahel were identified by Israeli intelligence as Hamas operatives.

EuroMed Monitor consistently spreads conspiracy theories about Israel, including false accusations of genocide and organ theft. It has alleged that Israeli forces conducted mass executions at Al Shifa Hospital, despite evidence that Hamas used the hospital for military purposes. It also defended Hamas’ use of incendiary balloons as “distress signals.”
Aseel Mousa’s Support for October 7th
Beyond Shehada, Aseel Mousa, who is listed by Harvard as a freelance journalist, has openly supported Hamas’ October 7th attack. For example, she posted on October 8th that “Palestinian resistance youth [referring to the terrorists] from #Gaza are only 10 km away from the West Bank. O Allah, guide their aim and grant them safety.”
She likewise posted on October 8th that:
“O people… The complete liberation of Palestine, from the sea to the river, is objectively and realistically possible! I am not saying it is easy, nor am I saying it is inevitable, but it is possible. It is possible in this generation. And it is not possible through armies that buy their weapons from their enemy, but rather through a continuous and accumulating popular resistance—like what is unfolding before your eyes now. —Tamim #Liberating_All_of_It_Is_Possible”
Holding Harvard Accountable
Harvard’s Carr Center must answer for its decision to platform Shehada and Mousa. The administration should be held accountable for allowing an extremist-affiliated speaker to spread dangerous misinformation. Donors, alumni, and students who believe in academic integrity should demand a response from Harvard’s leadership.
In the wake of the October 7th massacre, when Hamas terrorists murdered, raped, and kidnapped civilians, any attempt to whitewash Hamas should be unequivocally condemned.
Harvard representatives have not responded to a request for comment.
