DSA, of Which Zohran Mamdani is a Member, Endorses Pro-North Korea Conference
The conference is backed by Chinese Communist Party-linked Neville Roy Singham and features members of U.S.-designated terror groups
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the political organization which counts New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani among its members, has endorsed a controversial pro-North Korea conference scheduled for July 25-27, 2025, at Riverside Church in Manhattan.
First reported by Jewish Onliner earlier this week, the "People's Summit for Korea" features speakers with troubling affiliations, including Helyeh Doutaghi, a member of the U.S.-designated terrorist group Samidoun who was terminated from Yale Law School earlier this year.
The conference promotes North Korean regime narratives through sessions like "The Long Revolution of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" and "U.S. Out of Everywhere." Many organizing groups are funded by Neville Roy Singham, a businessman with strong Chinese Communist Party ties currently under congressional investigation.
Jewish Onliner contacted Mamdani's offices with specific questions about his position on the DSA-endorsed conference, his views on U.S. sanctions against North Korea, his assessment of the North Korean government's human rights record, and his stance on diplomatic engagement with the regime.
Mamdani's New York State Assembly office and mayoral campaign did not respond to requests for comment by press time.
