Doctors Without Borders Admits It Witnessed Terrorists at Nasser Hospital
MSF suspends operations at Nasser Hospital after observing "armed men" and suspected weapons movement, further confirming longstanding evidence of Hamas exploiting Gaza's medical facilities
In the past week, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in a direct statement acknowledged a pattern of unacceptable acts at the Nasser hospital — “presence of armed men, intimidation, arbitrary arrests of patients, and a recent situation of suspicion of movement of weapons” — forcing them to suspend non-critical activity as the incidents pose “serious security threats” to the staff.
Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) stated that MSF’s statement effectively validates what Israel has pointed out for years: that Hamas embeds itself in hospitals, eroding the protected status of medical infrastructure and endangering patients and staff.
Watchdog groups have long raised transparency concerns about major aid organizations operating in Gaza, including calls for staff lists and stronger vetting procedures. MSF acknowledges in the statement that it works with the Ministry of Health in Gaza, "which is part of the Hamas civilian administration”.
Critics have further noted MSF's selective advocacy. Dr. Neil Stone, a former MSF volunteer, publicly criticized the organization for failing to issue any statement regarding the disappearance of Iranian doctors who provided medical care to injured protesters. Dr.Stone noted that the silence prompted him to end his support for the organization and vow never to work with or donate to MSF again.
MSF’s Alleged Terror Ties
Jewish Onliner has previously reported that MSF has been connected to terrorist organizations in multiple ways. Most notably, an MSF employee named Fadi Al-Wadiya was killed in an Israeli drone strike in June 2024. Al-Wadiya was identified a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad who worked on “the development and advancement of the organization’s missile array” for over fifteen years. The IDF released images showing Al-Wadiya in militant clothing and attending meetings with other terrorist organization members.
Additionally, MSF has allegedly provided financial support to the Abdel Shafi Community Health Association (ACHA), an organization founded and run by senior PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) officials. An MSF Deputy Cell Manager named Amber Alayyan stated that MSF transferred its medical supplies to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which is controlled by Hamas.
Former MSF Secretary-General Alain Destexhe has publicly criticized the organization, saying it has become complicit with Hamas and has deviated from its stated commitment to humanitarian neutrality. He stated that "Americans need to know that Doctors Without Borders is not anymore the organization that it was 15 or 20 years ago. It has become a biased, partial and militant organization."
Documented Presence of Hamas at Gaza Hospitals
Previously exposed documents show that Hamas' Ministry of Interior issued two separate summons requiring an individual to appear for questioning at Nasser Hospital. The documents outline the presence of Hamas security operations within a medical facility.
Multiple sources and testimonies provide evidence that Hamas has systematically exploited Gaza's hospital infrastructure for military purposes. Security camera footage from October 7 shows terrorists bringing hostages to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, and the facility was later used as a location where hostage Noa Marciano, 19, was killed.
This pattern of abuse extends beyond the October 7 attack. A British physician who worked at al-Shifa several years ago revealed to France 24 that he was explicitly warned not to enter certain sections of the hospital or face being shot. The doctor, who worked in Gaza and the West Bank for three months, stated that when he inquired about the restricted areas, he was told implicitly they were being used "for non-medical purposes."
In a recent release, NGO Monitor published excerpts and translations of leaked Hamas documents from 2020, which expose how the organization strategically embedded military infrastructure within Gaza hospitals to serve as command centers and rallying points for its fighters and commanders.

Hamas imposed strict restrictions on foreign medical NGOs operating in these hospitals, controlling their access, monitoring their movements, and requiring Hamas members to “join incoming delegations” whether they work in hospitals or other designated locations.
