Director of Hamas-Run Radio Station Reportedly Eliminated by Israel
Israel reportedly eliminated Hassan Samour, director of the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa Voice Radio. The station has long served as a key platform for Hamas propaganda and for allegedly aiding terror activity
Al-Jazeera reported on Thursday that Israel has eliminated Hassan Samour, the director of Al-Aqsa Voice Radio, a Hamas-run station. An investigation by Jewish Onliner revealed that Samour’s social media presence is filled with posts praising terrorism and the military wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades. Since the early 2000s, Al-Aqsa Voice Radio has been a key outlet for spreading Hamas narratives and one of its reporters was revealed to be an alleged terror operative for the Al-Qassam Brigades.

Samour’s Support for Terrorism on Social Media
On October 7, 2023, Samour shared several images—likely AI-generated—depicting armed terrorists paragliding onto the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He also shared an image of Hamas footage from the October 7 massacre and captioned it with a Quranic verse praising the attack. Other posts of his glorify Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighters.

The Radio Station’s Role in Supporting Hamas Terror and Spreading Propaganda
The Israeli security service the Shin Bet uncovered efforts by Hamas to use Al-Aqsa Voice Radio to recruit operatives in the West Bank to carry out terror attacks. Hezbollah also reportedly broadcast the station into Israel from Lebanon. An alleged former reporter for the station, Abdullah Naser Khalil Fahjan, was identified by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Information Centre as a terror operative of Hamas’ Al-Qassam Brigades.

The station has featured interviews with prominent Hamas officials such as Bassem Naim and Hammad Al-Raqab.

The station has praised multiple deadly attacks against Israeli civilians. It also has a section called “Al-Aqsa Flood” dedicated to Hamas propaganda related to the October 7 massacre.

The case of Hassan Samour and Al-Aqsa Voice Radio highlights how Hamas embeds itself within media channels, making these outlets key instruments in its information warfare and terror activity. Through constant propaganda, the station is one of the many outlets that shape public perception and fuel support for Hamas’s militant agenda.
