Canadian Preschool Teacher & McGill Professor Under Fire for Pro-Terror Social Media Posts
Rana Abunakira, an early childhood educator employed by Peel District School Board in Ontario, posted a call on Oct. 7 for God to "bless and protect" the terrorists rampaging through southern Israel
Two Canadian educators — one teaching young children in Ontario's public school system and another at a prestigious Montreal university — are facing intense scrutiny after social media posts revealed their explicit support for terrorist organizations and promotion of antisemitic content.
Rana Abunakira, an early childhood educator employed by Peel District School Board in Ontario, has been exposed for sharing antisemitic content and supporting terror-linked groups through her social media activity.
According to antisemitism watchdog group Canary Mission, Abunakira posted real-time celebration of the October 7th massacre. According to documented evidence, she glorified terrorism on October 7th by asking God to "direct their arrows and make their feet firm," explicitly praying for divine assistance to Palestinian terrorists as they murdered over 1,200 people, including families, children, and elderly civilians.

Abunakira’s Instagram activity that day included posts declaring "The Heroes of Gaza Bring It To Life, may Allah bless you and protect you.”
Beyond her October 7th celebrations, Abunakira has demonstrated ongoing support for what she terms "Armed Resistance" groups in Gaza, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad — both organizations designated as terrorist groups by Canada. Her statements include the ominous declaration "We teach them young...Always and forever.”
The evidence shows Abunakira employing what researchers describe as a common antisemitic strategy: taking centuries-old hate narratives about Jews and repackaging them as criticism of Israel and Zionism. Her posts perpetuate harmful stereotypes claiming "Jews lie, steal, cheat, kill, rape" while directing this vitriol specifically at Israeli citizens and supporters.

Working within Peel District School Board, one of Ontario's largest school systems serving over 155,000 students, Abunakira's extremist views present immediate concerns about the safety and well-being of the diverse student population under her care.
University Professor's Call for Military Support to Terrorists
At the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Professor William Clare Roberts of the Political Science Department has publicly advocated for "full economic and military support for Hamas and Hezbollah.”

When confronted about Hezbollah's extensive record of murdering Arabs, including Palestinians, during the Syrian conflict, Roberts dismissed these concerns as "irrelevant," arguing that "obligations to intervene moving forward are not controlled by morally repugnant acts in the past." This rationalization of terrorist violence demonstrates a troubling moral relativism that raises questions about his influence on impressionable university students.
Roberts also compared of Israeli military operations to Hamas's October 7th massacre, drawing a disturbing moral equivalence between a democratic country and a terrorist organization.

Pattern of Normalized Extremism
As Canadian communities demand accountability from educational institutions, the cases of Abunakira and Roberts serve as stark reminders of the urgent need for comprehensive policies addressing radicalized educators and protecting students from those who would exploit their positions to promote hatred, celebrate terrorism, and undermine the values of tolerance and respect that should define quality education.
