Antifa-Linked Socialist Rifle Association Routinely Endorses Palestinian Terrorism
Armed organization with 10,000+ members systematically promotes Palestinian terrorist messaging while confirmed members commit violent attacks on law enforcement facilities

The Socialist Rifle Association (SRA), a former 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization headquartered in Wichita, Kansas and founded in 2017, claims to be a benign "social welfare organization" focused on firearms education and community defense. However, a Jewish Onliner investigation reveals that both the national headquarters and local chapters, who offer firearms training, regularly post pro-Palestine, pro-terror, and Antifa messaging — often accompanied by images of armed members that suggest a far more militant agenda than their official mission statements indicate.
The timing of these findings takes on new significance following President Donald Trump's announcement that he plans on designating Antifa as a "major terrorist organization."
A Nationwide Network of Armed Extremism
Operating chapters across 41 states with over 10,000 members as of 2020, the SRA maintains the facade of legitimate firearms education while systematically promoting extremist content through official channels. However, federal oversight of the organization has deteriorated significantly—the IRS revoked SRA's federal tax-exempt status in May 2023 after the organization failed to file financial returns for three consecutive years, according to Daily Wire reporting.

The national organization has used its official platforms to share images of firearms positioned next to Antifa signs, while promoting Palestinian terrorist messaging that goes far beyond any reasonable interpretation of community defense. This messaging emanates directly from their headquarters operations, establishing a pattern that is then replicated and amplified by local chapters nationwide.
SRA National hosts trainings to teach people how to shoot and how to manage guns, stating on their Instagram, “The SRA has been the introduction point for countless people with regards to firearms.”

Minnesota Chapter: A Case Study in Extremism
The Minnesota SRA chapter exemplifies the concerning patterns found throughout the organization. While presenting themselves as community educators, their social media accounts reveal explicit calls for violence, terrorist glorification, as well as extreme pro-Palestinian messaging.

SRA Minnesota regularly shares images of armed group members with faces obscured or blurred, often wearing kaffiyehs — traditional Middle Eastern headscarves that have been associated with Palestinian violence.

On X, the Minnesota chapter has posted images of guns alongside messages stating: "There is no two state solution! Intifada! Revolution!" They have also commemorated Nakba Day with posts declaring: "Today we remember the catastrophe of 1948, but also celebrate the heroism of the Palestinian resistance who struggle on all fronts for the right of return." They claim, “We are returning.”

SRA Minnesota has openly glorified Leila Khaled, a convicted terrorist from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.-designated terrorist organization. Their posts about Khaled include messages such as: "DEATH TO SETTLER COLONIALISM! ALL POWER TO THE RESISTANCE! PALESTINE WILL BE FREE!"

SRA Minnesota has posted chilling statements including: “We have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you. When our turn comes we shall make no excuses for the terror." This quote, originally attributed to Karl Marx, takes on particular menace when posted by an armed organization alongside images of weapons.

The chapter's militant agenda comes through their promotion of the "Defend Equality" flag. In social media posts, armed SRA Minnesota members can be seen prominently displaying flags featuring assault rifle silhouettes overlaid on transgender and gay pride colors.

The “Defend Equality” flag became the source of concern in August 2025, when Robin Westman carried out a deadly shooting at a Minneapolis, Minnesota Catholic school, in which two children were murdered. An investigation into Westman's materials revealed a direct and disturbing connection to the messaging being promoted by his local SRA chapter.

Westman's personal notebook contained the exact same "Defend Equality" sticker that Minnesota SRA members had been photographed displaying—featuring the identical gun silhouette over transgender and gay pride flags.
Maryland Chapter: Exploiting Sacred Dates for Terrorist Glorification
The Maryland SRA chapter's extremist messaging reached new depths with their September 11th gun training event promotion. According to the Jerusalem Post’s Michael Starr, the Maryland chapter advertised a firearms training event scheduled for September 11th using imagery that closely resembled known Palestinian terrorist figures, including PFLP terrorist Leila Khaled and a figure similar to Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeidah.
A National Pattern of Militant Messaging
SRA Minnesota and Maryland are not isolated cases. An investigation into SRA chapters across the country reveals consistent patterns of extremist messaging that suggest coordinated positioning rather than isolated incidents, with chapters nationwide promoting similar combinations of armed imagery, Antifa symbolism, and Palestinian terrorist messaging.
The Orange County (OC) and Los Angeles, CA branches of SRA exemplify this pattern. In one social media post, armed members can be seen holding the Antifa flag during a “joint, cross-over event“ where the two SRA branches “trained” together. The OC branch has also shared posts across social media celebrating armed Palestinian terrorists.

The North Texas chapter has similarly embraced extremist imagery and messaging. Like their Minnesota counterparts, they have posted celebratory content about PFLP terrorist Leila Khaled and her “resistance” activities. One particularly disturbing image from the North Texas chapter shows two armed members with animal costume heads covering their faces, one wearing a keffiyeh with trans pride colors, accompanied by text identifying both as "anti-Zionists."

Dangerous Implications & Connection to Real-World Violence
The concerning messaging promoted by SRA chapters has manifested in real-world violence through multiple criminal cases involving confirmed SRA members. The Daily Wire has documented at least four major violent incidents connected to the organization:
On July 4, 2025, Benjamin Hanil Song, a member of the Socialist Rifle Association's Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, allegedly shot a police officer in the neck during an attack where militants "opened fire at unarmed DHS correctional officers" at an ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas.
SRA members have targeted Tesla dealerships in coordinated political violence. Paul Hyon Kim, who followed the Socialist Rifle Association's page on Instagram and was photographed training with the Reno SRA chapter, set fire to and shot up five Teslas in Las Vegas, leaving a Molotov cocktail inside one vehicle.
Similarly, Adam Matthew Lansky, identified as a former SRA member, threw Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership in Salem, Oregon on January 20—the day Donald Trump was sworn in as president—then returned a month later to shoot up the same dealership using a semi-automatic rifle with a suppressor.
Daniel Alan Baker, a confirmed SRA member, was sentenced to 44 months in prison for threats against Trump supporters following January 6th. Baker offered "cash rewards for information leading to the verified identification" of Capitol protesters, explicitly stating he wouldn't "be going to the cops" but would "handle this ourselves." Baker promoted messages like "Hospitalize your local fascist" and "#stabnazis," and told prosecutors he believed "the government should distribute weapons to people who are loyal citizens."

Given the above as well as President Trump's designation of Antifa as a terrorist organization, the legal landscape for organizations like the SRA has fundamentally changed. The President specifically mentioned investigating those who fund such groups and suggested that his Attorney General examine RICO charges against organizations supporting left-wing extremism.
